My name is Bibi and I am a concept artist and an animator.
I enjoy working with a wide variety of media, whether it's static, moving, digital or analogue. I love collaborating with different disciplines and learning new things!
Hey There!
About Me
As a concept artist I always seek new challenges. Even though I enjoy sinking into my own world when creating, most of my favourite projects have been collaborative. I enjoy working with other disciplines and learning from them. I am currently interested in the crossover between art and science. Through researching this topic I have come across graphic medicine and I wrote my dissertation on benefits of comics for medical and healthcare communication, followed by a comic summary of my thoughts on this topic.

The final film I worked on during my undergraduate course in Animation was called Chaos. Despite the name I consider our film as journey towards peace and tranquility. I created concept pieces inspired by sea organisms and I animated effects and the character Butterslug – partly butterfly and partly sea slug!

As a lover of nature, plants, fungi and invertebrates are a constant inspiration for my work. A part of my work will always be dedicated to showcasing the beauty of the nature we pass by every day, maybe without noticing.

During my degree I was a part of OPSOC - a Dundee university operatic society. Taking a part in two productions I was inspired to get more involved with the visual development of musical theater plays and I have really enjoyed it! It may sound far away from an animation course, but in both areas require working with a director and production team. I also found myself approaching costume design in a similar way to character concept art, only adding a layer of consideration for movement and the creation of the pieces outside the digital world!
